Check your SEO title and meta description for free

Enter any publicly accessible webpage to review its SEO title, meta description and key on-page signals. Sitequiry shows the information it can retrieve, explains what may be missing and gives you a clear starting point. No account required.

One public page per check. The result has its own link you can share.

What you can check

Page title, description, primary heading, canonical URL and indexing directives, where accessible. The checker reads the HTML that the page returns to a normal request and the X-Robots-Tag and Link response headers.

What a preview cannot promise

Search engines may generate their own titles and snippets. This preview is illustrative, not a live Google result. Google shortens titles and descriptions by pixel width, so the character counts here are guides, not limits.

What to fix first

Make the title specific to the page, write a useful description and avoid duplicate intent across multiple URLs. Don't pad text just to reach a character limit. A missing title or a page marked noindex matters far more than a description that is a few characters long.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an ideal title length?

No exact one. Google shortens titles by pixel width, not by a fixed number of characters, so this tool uses about 60 characters only as a guide. Put the most important words first so a shortened title still makes sense.

Why does Google show a different title or description?

Google may generate a title link or snippet from other text on the page when it judges that more helpful for a query. A clear, accurate title and description make that less likely, but nobody can prevent it.

Does the meta description affect rankings?

Google does not use it as a ranking factor. It can influence whether people click, because it is often shown as the snippet.
